CMSD Neighborhood Meetings Scheduled
The Cleveland Metropolitan School Facilities is holding a series of Open Houses for the purpose of sharing plans about neighborhood schools and providing an opportunity for the community to voice opinions. Please plan to attend the Cudell, Edgewater , Detroit Shoreway session at Cudell Recreation Center, 1910 West Boulevard on Wednesday, June 4 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM.
Twenty "Graduate" from Third Federal HOMEToday Financial Literacy Series
On Thursday, May 29th, twenty "graduates" successfully completed the Third Federal HOMEToday financial literacy series sponsored by Cudell Improvement, Inc. and Bellaire Puritas Development Corporation and hosted by Cudell. The twenty potential homeowners are well on their way to getting $2000 toward the down payment of a home, $650 in closing costs and three years of one on one financial counselling! Not to mention learning sound financial management skills that will help them in all facets of their everyday life.

A "Day of Giving Back" Brings Salon Services to Homeless
Valencia Turner, owner of The Beauty In You Salon at 9807 Denison, shares that she is sponsoring a "Day of Giving Back" on June 10 wherein homeless in the community will be treated to salon services. She is taking a few more referrals for appointments at 216.799.7424 as well as having a garment rack for clothing donations where those receiving free services can select items of apparel. If you would like to donate clothing, contact Valencia. We applaud her for her efforts to help those community members in need.

NHS Offers Neighborhood Impact Program Grants
If you are an income qualified homeowner for more than 18 months, are current on your real estate taxes, homeowners' insurance and mortgage payments, then you may qualify for a grant of up to $7,500 to make repairs/replacement of such items as HVAC, hot water tanks and or energy conservation measures such as windows, siding, roofing and gutters. Live Entertainment at Edgewater Park

Sustainability Showcase at Cleveland Lumber Tomorrow
Remember to visit the Cleveland Lumber Sustainability Showcase tomorrow, Saturday, from 11 - 1 on Madison Avenue near West 95th. Learn all about products that can save energy in your home, take a tour of the store and warehouse, enter the raffle and grab a hot dog lunch for only a $1. You will also receive an invitation to visit a nearby home that had solar panels installed by the same company that installed them on the roof of Cleveland Lumber.
