CLIFTON ARTS & MUSICFEST TOMORROW Plan to join the fun, enjoy the art, groove to the music, savor delicious food and browse the retail and service providers on wonderful, walkable Clifton Boulevard at the 23rd Annual Clifton Arts & Musicfest from 10 AM - 6 PM on the northwest side of Cleveland. Hands-on art for the kids, papermaking demonstrations by the Morgan Conservatory, NatureTracks and lots more to see and do. The fun will continue after the show formally closes with live entertainment at Twist Social Club. Eighty artists will display photography, pottery, ceramics, mixed media, jewelry, fiber art, textiles, drawing, wood and stone work. All work is original and unique. Whether spending $10 or $1,000, festival goers can own a piece of art like no other. The Juried Awards will be presented at the Clear Choice booth at 3 PM, including two student artists awards. Music will be pumping all day long with Harmonia, PANIC, Cletus Black, Straight Six Dixie, Brand New Hat, The David Sterner Trio, Burning River and Erie Heights Brass. The immensely popular belly dancers, Hareem Sha'reem, will perform along with the youngsters from the Cleveland Institute of Music who are learning the Suzi method of violin. The 23rd Annual Clifton Arts & Musicfest - get the urban vibe tomorrow, rain or shine. Voices Against Violence Concert The second annual Voices Against Violence Concert will be presented on June 26th from 1 - 5 PM at Lincoln Park at West 14th Street in the Tremont area. Join Mayor Jackson and other dignitaries to promote amicable relations among various racial and cultural groups/organizations within Cleveland. Community Kickoff Join Nueva Luz and Plain Talk on Monday, June 28 at West Tech Lofts, 2201 West 93 Street, from 6 - 8 PM for a free dinner, dancing, prizes and music by DJ Vic Santana. Plain Talk urges young people to make smart sexual decisions while educating parents to be "askable adults." Free event.
