Free Rain Barrels Available in Ward 16

Call Cudell Improvement, Inc. now to reserve your free rain barrel if you live in Ward 16. Be eco-friendly and put that rain water to work giving a drink to thirsty lawns and gardens.  Contact Linda at 216.228.4383 to get on the list.  Only twenty to distribute.

 I-90 Clean Up This Saturday

Pull out your work gloves and come help clean up  litter that has accumulated over the winter months.  Volunteers should meet at Cudell's Midwest Housing Office, 9801 Denison Avenue at 8:45 AM this coming Saturday or go directly to the worksite of your choice: West Blvd/I-90 underpass; West 98/I-90 underpass; Nueva Luz Church and West Tech Lofts areas; or Clark Avenue near Simpson Church.  Some tools available.  Bring a rake or broom if you can.  Garbage bags will be provided.  Thanks, in advance, for caring about our neighborhood.  Contact Councilman Westbrook's office for further information.

Nehemiah Mission Volunteers Hard at Work in 98 Great Homes Model Block

For the third year, volunteers from Nehemiah Mission are completing painting, repair and beautification projects for homeowners in the 98 Great Homes Model Block.  Jim Pressler, Cudell's Special Programs Manager, is coordinating work requests with the volunteers that are available to complete the jobs.  If you would like to help with small repair jobs or flower planting, please feel free to contact Jim at 216.228.4383 or jimp@cudell.com.

Cleveland Bike to Work Day Friday, May 21, 2010

Enjoy a healthy, fun, non-polluting way to commute to work.  Meet at the mini-park at the corner of Ontario and Huron between 7 - 9 AM for free coffee and breakfast.  Celebrate with other cyclists on East 4th Street after work.  Check out the official website at www.clevelandbicycleweek.org.

Neighborhood Connections Grants Funding to Children's Art Corner

Neighborhood Connections, a program of the Cleveland Foundation, recently granted $1,050 to the Children's Art Corner at the 23rd Annual Clifton Arts & Musicfest.  Thanks to the program's generosity, ten more easels and supplies have been purchased to allow all the budding young artists to demonstrate their talent on the day of the 23rd Annual Clifton Arts & Musicfest, Saturday, June 19th.

The Diner on Clifton Merits Two Mentions in Last Week's PD

And they say there is no "good news" in the paper!  Well, the PD was right on in mentioning the creamy mac-n-cheese as well as other delicous diner fare offered at The Diner on Clifton, 11635 Clifton Blvd.

Twist Social Club Expanding

Look for "grand opening" news from Twist Social Club at 11633 Clifton Blvd.  The highly successful club is expanding westward into the former beauty salon and will add a whole new dimension to the social scene.  A roof top deck is in the works, also.
