Enhance Clifton Public Meeting on Wednesday, April 7th

In 2007, the cities of Lakewood and Cleveland worked together to build a conceptual plan to enhance Clifton Boulevard.  The concept is to calm traffic and enhance the boulevard by improving landscaping, lighting and transportation amenities.  In 2009, RTA applied for and received federal stimulus funds to design the Clifton Boulevard Transportation Enhancement Program with the two cities.  Now, at no cost to either city, next steps are being taken to design the Clifton Boulevard enhancements.  The design process will be lengthy.  Over the coming months, the public will be invited to help planners and designers with the design process and gather input on details big and small.

The first public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 7th from 7-9 pm at Emerson Elementary School, 13439 Clifton Boulevard, Lakewood. Residents of both Cleveland and Lakewood are encouraged to attend.  Parking is south of the building, and the entrance to the meeting is adjacent to the parking lot (ADA accessible).  Hope to see you there!
