Cudell Improvement, Inc. Welcomes New Officers At its February Board of Directors' Meeting, the following officers were elected: Daniel L. Berry, President; Brian Jereb, Vice President; David Retzer, Secretary; Walter E. Martens, Treasurer. Congratulations to all and - thanks - in advance for all your hard work and dedication to the organization's work on behalf of neighborhood residents. 2010 Census Help Available at Cudell Improvement, Inc. Offices Beginning March 19th and continuing until April 19th, a Census Bureau Staff will be at Cudell Improvement, Inc., 9815 Lorain Avenue, each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM to assist people who need help completing their Census form. We all know that answering the 10 questions promptly when you receive your survey is one of the most critical actions you, as a citizen, can take for the city of Cleveland, and the region, this year. BE COUNTED! St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church Closing Mass With great sadness, we encourage all to attend the final Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Sunday, March 14th at 9 AM. We thank Fr. Bill, Fr. Bob, Kathleen and Pauline for their dedication to the parish and neighborhood over these final years. Student Art Scholarship Application OnLine The Clifton Arts & Musicfest will again award up to two $750 scholarships to graduating high school seniors and/or students currently enrolled in an accredited arts institution. Applications may be downloaded by going to www.cudell.com and clicking on the Artsfest button. Scroll to the bottom of the page to download the Student Art Scholarship Application. After School Visual Arts Program Cudell Fine Arts Center, 10013 Detroit Avenue, invites students to participate in its After School Visual Arts Program. Each week day there is a different activity including clay, painting and drawing, recycled arts, jewelry design and arts and crafts. Call 216.664.4183 for times and other info. What Every Landlord Should Know.............. Judge Raymond L. Pianka, Cleveland Municipal Court, Housing Division, is pleased to sponsor, "What Every Landlord Should Know.........." on Saturday, March 27, 2010. Registration begins at 9 AM at the Justice Center, 1200 Lakeside Avenue, Courtroom 13B. The Course is from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM. The $10 registration fee is due before or at registration. Donuts and coffee will be provided. This course is specifically for owners and managers of 100 units or less and is always informative and thought provoking. Historic Photos Wanted Cudell Improvement is always accepting donations to its Historic Archives. So don't toss those old photos of the neighborhood - donate them to the Cudell Historic Archives so the items will be preserved. Cudell has been collecting for over 30 years and its archives contains over 500 photos, memorabilia and advertising collectibles from the Cudell/Edgewater neighborhood.
