CANDY CANE CRUISE TOMORROW ON CLIFTON BOULEVARD The holiday lights are lit on the Clifton Boulevard buildings. The convertibles are decorated and ready to roll. The ice sculptor has another intricate design to carve. The vintage calliope has its holiday tunes ready to play, and the local merchants are waiting to greet guests with holiday treats and warm wishes. Don't forget to pick up your Cruisin' Passport at the headquarters tent in front of Charter One Bank for a chance to win a $150 cash prize. Hope to see everyone tomorrow, Saturday, December 5th on Clifton Boulevard from 3 - 6 PM. LOCAL BUSINESSES FEATURED IN PLAIN DEALER STORIES When the Judge speaks, everyone listens! And so spoke Judge Joe Zone when he praised Papa Nick's Pizza & Pasta in a feature article on the Judge last week. Phil Pamphilis, owner of Papa Nick's, will have a sample of his pizza awaiting visitors at the Candy Cane Cruise. And likewise, the goodies at Truffles Pastry Shop were aptly described as delicious in another story about local bakeries. Be sure and stop there also to get your Passport stamped and take home some of these delicious treats. It will be our little secret that you didn't bake them! ANYTIME FITNESS OPENING IN FORMER HOLLYWOOD VIDEO The old videos were barely cleared out of the storefront when Liberty Development, building owner, signed a lease with Anytime Video. So just as we said last week, eat all you want during the holidays because Anytime Fitness will help you take those pounds right back off in January and February! Watch for the Anytime Fitness convertible in the Candy Cane Cruise. And welcome to wonderful, walkable Clifton Boulevard. BE STUDIOS EXPANSION NEARING COMPLETION Christina Anderson, owner of Be Studios, has done so well that she has expanded into three storefronts at 10400 Clifton Boulevard. Yes, it's an exercise studio but is really geared to personal training, Pilates, pole exercise, body sculpting, relaxation techniques, etc. Christina also hosts Girls' Night Out parties as well as other specialty events for those looking for something new and different for their get-togethers. Call Christina at 216.227.9710. Cudell staffer Jim Pressler has been working with Christina and her business neighbor, Deja Pizza & Grille (yummy!) on Storefront Projects. ANITA'S BOOK PICK FOR HOLIDAY READING No matter what your holiday beliefs, you will certainly be affected by this short little book. Go to the nearest library to borrow The Paper Bag Christmas by Kevin Alan Milne. It can be read in an hour or so but you will be thinking about it for weeks afterwards. | |
